Canada's William Osler Health System (Osler) integrates AI applications through Sectra's AI platform to increase patient care and workflow efficiency.
This collaboration allows Osler to integrate reviewed third-party AI applications directly into clinical workflows.
Sectra Amplifier Service is a fully managed, cloud-hosted, AI-driven platform that provides the ability to run multiple AI applications on a unified infrastructure.
Sectra is fully responsible and covers deployment, integration, hosting and ongoing support, reducing security risks and IT burden.
David Stankivich, Vice President of William Osler Health Systems, Digital Transformation and Chief Information and Privacy Officer, said:
“We look forward to expanding our partnership with Sectra as we embark on this new journey together.”
The healthcare system, which caters to over 1.3 million people across five sites in the Canadian community, runs over 575,000 diagnostic imaging tests per year.
Since 2019, Osler has been using Sectra's enterprise imaging solutions, initially employing orthopedic modules, and expanded in 2023 to include modules from radiology, breast imaging, and Sectra's vendor neutral archive (VNA).
Sectra Canada President Nader Soltani said: “Many healthcare providers are intrigued by the possibilities of AI to address workload challenges. The transition from curiosity to full integration into clinical workflows can be a major leap.
“We are pleased that Sectra has made this transition easier for William Osler's health system. We are grateful for their trust as we support them in this exciting new chapter.”
Sectra Amplifier Services, a component of Sectra's enterprise imaging solutions, offers a comprehensive strategy for imaging requirements while reducing operation-related costs.
With VNA as an integral part, this solution is scalable and modular, allowing caregivers to expand their services across a range of specialties and businesses.
In related developments, Guelph General Hospital in Canada recently began using Sectra's digital pathology module.
“Osler Integrates AI Applications with Sectra's Amplifier Service” was originally created and published by Hospital Management, a brand owned by GlobalData.
