Gore Police uses eight technologies, including AI tools.
DGP Alok Kumar said
toi“Gore Police has been continuing to strive to implement a number of technologies that will provide long-term efficiency, effectiveness and overall improvements.”
He said, “We have launched an AI-ML lab, expanded our technology-driven initiatives and introduced new technologies.”
Kumar said, “We aim to make Gore Police a national frontrunner police organization from a technology and innovation perspective.”
He said police are using truck (traffic response and congestion control) centres to address the growing traffic management challenges as Goa's vehicle density and population increase.
“Through the truck, Gore Police monitors Google Maps for statewide crowds, monitors social media complaints via hashtags and keywords, coordinates with the police control office to deal with traffic complaints, monitors hourly commute times for the main route, and monitors response times for various complaints.
Spot The Scam uses Goa Police to analyze websites and APK files to detect and classify rogue online platforms. APK, or Android Package Kit, provides a way to download apps.
“The anti-SCAM tool performs multimodal analysis by assessing text, visual and metadata queues. It performs domain analysis to assess the reliability of your website,” Kumar said. “Security Socket Layer (SSL) verification is done for secure connection verification. Natural Language Processing (NLP) is used to detect deceptive content. ”
He said, “Imaging recognition is performed to identify suspicious visual elements. It uses tool cross-reference data using fraud databases validated using OpenAI's GPT-40 to enhance early detection of cyber fraud.”
Gore police have started monitoring online and offline content using the Radical Content Analyzer to tackle extremist propaganda. Videos that last up to 25 minutes are also subject to such surveillance.
Radical Content Analyzer has the ability to monitor both online and offline radical content.
