The Billion Followers Summit, the world's largest summit dedicated to the content production economy and hosted by the UAE Government Media Authority, has announced the list of top 12 finalists for the world's largest AI-generated film award.
An expert jury of global experts, advisors and creative content creators selected 12 films for the award from a total of 3,500 entries, representing a total of 400 hours. The shortlisted films will be open for public voting here from December 21st to 25th.
Following a public vote, a panel of judges will select the top five films to be screened under the theme 'Content for Good' on 10 January 2026 during the 4th Billion Followers Summit to be held from 9 to 11 January 2026 at Emirates Towers, Dubai International Financial Center and Museum of the Future.
The final winner of the World's Most Valuable AI-Generated Film Award, worth a total of $1 million, hosted by Summit in collaboration with Google Gemini, will be announced on January 11th.
The summit also announced that more than 30,000 people from 116 countries had expressed interest. The award aims to support and encourage the production of films with meaningful content using a variety of artificial intelligence tools, as well as strengthen the creative capabilities of content creators to deliver positive, purpose-driven messages that promote understanding and connection between cultures.
