Wayve, a leader in embedded AI for autonomous driving, announced the acquisition of Quality Match, a German startup known for its expertise in computer vision datasets and data quality assurance for artificial intelligence. This acquisition reflects Wayve’s continued investment in data accuracy as the foundation for safe, scalable autonomous driving.

Founded in 2019, Quality Match brings deep expertise in interpreting and analyzing data used to train AI models for applications such as advanced assisted driving and autonomous driving. As Wayve moves toward commercial deployment of its AI driver software, the integration of Quality Match strengthens its ability to efficiently develop high-quality, auditable datasets essential to building reliable and explainable AI models.
Germany-based Quality Match’s team of 20 experts will join Waveve’s global operations. The acquisition expands Wave’s presence in the country, following the launch of a test and development hub near Stuttgart in early 2025, further establishing Germany’s position as a key center for engineering and AI innovation at Wayve. Daniel Kondermann, CEO of Quality Match, joins Wayve as Director of Data.
