Vimeo, an ad-free YouTube alternative for businesses and content creators, is diving into the world of artificial intelligence (AI). It joins the ranks of tech giants striving to improve the user experience by integrating AI into their tools and capabilities.
From July, Vimeo is rolling out new AI-powered video tools that make it easier for users to edit and create videos. With new AI tools added to the video editor, you can easily create new scripts, cut unwanted parts of your video, and record footage using the built-in teleprompter.
A new tool can use generative AI to generate a script based on a few words or guidelines from the user. You can also choose the tone of your script: formal, casual, direct, confident, moving, or funny.

Thanks to the integrated AI, you can even edit your videos using a text-based editor. That means you can trim the video by removing the text and get rid of the “hmm” “hmm” and long pauses that can ruin your video.

Another handy feature is the built-in teleprompter, which allows you to speak into the camera with a script right in front of you. These AI video editing tools are designed to help beginners and people with little editing time or experience create video content easily.
