Tesla has released a new video showcasing its Tesla bot. The Tesla bot can now walk steadily, pick up items, and recognize objects. The video was unveiled by CEO Elon Musk at Tesla’s shareholder meeting event.
This video showcases some notable upgrades made to the Tesla Bot project. This includes enhanced motor torque control, artificial intelligence (AI) training based on human-tracked movements, and object manipulation capabilities. More importantly, the humanoid robot can now walk in a straight line without the help of Tesla staff.
In one demonstration, Tesla Bot took an object from one container and placed it in another, showing potential use cases for robots to perform human-like tasks. This action served as an example of how human demonstrations can be used to train the bot’s AI.
The humanoid robot was first unveiled at Tesla AI Day 2022 in October. At the time, the robot could barely walk forward with its interior exposed. A more complete version was also screened, but required help from the staff to stay on its feet.
