TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Pegatron co-CEO Chen Kuan-chi said the company’s AI server business recorded more than 100% year-on-year growth last year and is expected to record similar growth this year.
Pegatron acquired two manufacturing facilities in Taoyuan from HTC in May 2025, and production of AI servers, EV components, and robotics parts is expected to begin this year. CNA.
The company’s AI server production line at its Mexico facility completed prototype production late last year. The first plant in Texas is expected to be completed by the end of March, with trial production expected to begin in April. The US facility is manufacturing AI servers (such as Nvidia’s GB300 systems used in large data centers for generative AI applications).
Pegatron said AI servers shipping this year will include Nvidia’s GB200 and GB300 systems. This year marks the fourth year since the company entered the AI server business, and the company has approximately 700 AI server research and development personnel, with plans to expand to approximately 1,000 this year.
Cheng said that the AI server is mainly used By cloud service providers, data centers, and enterprises. This year, Pegatron will increase its focus on large-scale cloud service providers. The company also plans to ship advanced chips used for application-specific integrated circuits, AI model calculations, cryptocurrency mining, and self-driving EV control.
Pegatron reported revenue Last year’s sales were NT$1.12 trillion (US$35.7 billion), down 0.72% from 2024. The company attributed the decline to investments in AI server manufacturing facilities and said it expects related orders to increase significantly this year.
To reduce the impact of U.S. tariffs, Pegatron will expand its U.S. factory’s production capacity for EVs and related parts, it added. There are also plans to dedicate some production lines at factories in Indonesia and Vietnam to the EV sector.
Pegatron exhibited a robot dog developed in-house. simbaat Computex in Taipei in May. This robot is designed for disaster relief and military applications. The company plans to step up development of key robot components such as motors, wireless modules, sensors, and control software.
