New generative AI, AWS Showing News Delivery Innovation

AWS will provide engaging demonstrations, detailed guidance and thoughtful discussions during sessions throughout the week at RAI Hall 5 stand 5.C90 during exhibit hours.

The AWS Stand features 56 AWS partners from various demos that showcase the technologies and top use cases that shape the future of the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry. It demonstrates the latest cloud and AI technologies to help customers across broadcast, streaming, media supply chains and monetization. This includes the builder zone and the generation AI zone for more technical deep dives.

Throughout the AWS Stand, participants will learn how M&E companies can adapt to changing entertainment environments, both at scale and within budgets, by using AWS and its partners' latest generation AI and cloud-based tools.

For example, Reuters, a global news organization, will be taking part in AWS to demonstrate live content captured from the UK (UK) Parliament floor. They use the open source time-addressable media store (TAMS) API specification and AWS services, including Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), AWS Elemental MediaConvert, and AWS Step capabilities. Reuters and AWS show how cloud-native collaboration and interoperability can change the way news is created, exchanged and monetized. AWS also shows how TAMS can be integrated with Amazon Bedrock and Twelvelabs video understanding models to enable embedding news content.

M&E companies want to leverage generated AI to unlock revenue from existing content libraries and IPs, reducing operational costs while enhancing the viewing experience. AWS presents a demonstration that demonstrates practical use of generated AI workloads, including how to use services such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Nova Foundation Models, and Amazon Bedrock featuring Amazon Connect.

AI Agents also help M&E companies support new engagement features, streamline operations, and enhance advertising and monetization opportunities. The AWS booth will include more Agent AI demos than ever before, and will showcase features such as Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Amazon Q, and Kiro to support M&E use cases. This includes a demo featuring the latest updates to AWS Media Lake guidance, which adds AWS Partner MASV and Nomad Media Agent AI capabilities.

Participants can explore how AWS services can support their unique needs along with builder zone experts. This includes learning to deploy infrastructure across multiple availability zones and regions using Amazon CloudFront, and capturing detailed video quality metrics for every frame of the output using AWS Elemental MediaConvert. Explore monetizing live video while providing digital video recorder (DVR) functionality using AWS Elemental Mediatailor. Rethink search and discoverability within media libraries with AWS and Amazon S3 Vector cloud storage and streamline your business operations using Amazon Q.

New to the Builder Zone this year will also feature experts who can discuss digital sovereignty on AWS. This includes AWS Europe's Sovereign Cloud. It is the first fully functional, independently operated sovereign cloud, backed by strong technical management, sovereignty guarantees and legal protections required by European governments and businesses. The AWS Europe Sovereign Cloud, which is set to be released at the end of 2025, will be physically and logically separated from other AWS regions and fully located within the EU.

Celebrating 10 Years of AWS Elemental

On September 3, 2025, it has been 10 years since AWS acquired Elemental Technologies, and is now known as AWS Elemental. In many ways, the acquisition marks the beginning of AWS' new journey in M&E, and IBC offers an ideal forum to celebrate the customers and partners who have helped shape that journey.

Today, AWS Elemental Services supports innovative new streaming platforms, live digital broadcasting techniques, cloud production workflows and more. These services will help customers like BBC, Fox, Netflix, PBS and Prime Video to create, convert and deliver high-quality digital content. For example, using AWS Elemental Media Services, Tubi has brought the most streamed Super Bowl in history to 15.5 million peak simultaneous streaming audiences. Formula 1 debuts the new F1 TV Premium Streaming Subscription Tier, with NBCuniversal delivering 5,000 hours of personalized ads for Peacock's 2024 Parisiolimage content.

The AWS Stand features a dynamic timeline that maps 10-year milestones and industry breakthroughs. This will help participants look back at the hundreds of features released since the acquisition and support more than 1,500 customers around the world. IBC participants can also meet with AWS Elemental Experts in the Stand.
