William Chappell, the company's strategic mission and technology chief technology officer, told Bloomberg that Microsoft spent 18 months developing the model and that it is secure because it is “air-gapped.” , said it can only be accessed by the U.S. government.
Chappell told the outlet that a model based on GPT-4 is currently operational and will be able to answer questions and write code.
