The Liverpool-based innovation and collaboration agency has introduced an AI activator programme to address local business challenges.
Goodship aims to cultivate a new generation of talent equipped to promote sustainable innovation, and its approach focuses on the possibilities of “activation” within businesses and individuals.
Developed in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), the Goodship AI Activator program and Student Futures Program provide students with accelerated, hands-on experiences.
Students will acquire cutting-edge AI tools, human-centered communication and practical skills in design thinking to prepare for an impactful career and develop self-worth and professional pride.

The program is designed to fill the gap between academic learning and industry demand.
“Liverpool is a city full of possibilities, but like many regions, it faces the challenge of maintaining top talent and building on continuous innovation,” said Gavin Shellatt, founder of Goodship.
“Our AI Activator Program is a direct response to this. It's not just about creating job-ready graduates by equipping students with the real-world skills of creative problem-solving and purpose-driven AI. We are ready to build a vibrant ecosystem that maintains a great mind in Liverpool and contribute to its economic and social prosperity.
“This initiative is about co-creation that fosters a collaborative environment where students, businesses and purpose-driven organizations can thrive together.”
