Javed Akhtar, known for being outspoken on social media platforms, has fallen prey to AI exploitation. The writer and lyricist recently posted on his X account that a fake video is circulating on social media featuring a digitally created image of himself, depicting him as if he had ascended to godhood. He has classified it as “nonsense” and the lyricist now plans to lodge a complaint with the cyber authorities to identify the real culprit behind it. Javed Akhtar said the video has tarnished his reputation and integrity online. He created a broad message about X.

Javed Akhtar shared a harsh note regarding X. “There is a fake video circulating showing an artificial computer-generated image of me with a hat on my head, claiming that I have finally become God. Nonsense. I am seriously considering reporting this to the cyber police and ultimately holding the few individuals who shared responsibility for this false information in court for damaging my reputation and integrity.” (as per original)
Javed Akhtar's tweet has been gaining attention on social media and users have also started reacting to it. It is worth noting that the misuse of AI is becoming increasingly prevalent in the entertainment industry. Many celebrities have taken to social media to denounce this abuse. Some people obtain legal orders from courts to protect their individual rights.
