How to use AI to manage your time as a student

Applications of AI

Despite what you might believe, teachers and professors are not about twisting their mustaches and hitting that students can't hand over their papers on time. Students are doing well, which is stressful for students and anxiety for teachers who spend time and effort creating assignments. It's like a guest of honor planning a party just for bail.

Each semester, at least one student in my class will inevitably fall prey to poor time management – and that is painful for everyone involved. They either submit something until the very end, or wait for the job to forget that it's due or give it enough time to finish it.

I hate turning down their deadline extension requests – despite the creative excuses they came up with – with opinions from students, I have compiled a list of AI tools to help them stay on track.

According to actual students, here are some common time management pitfalls and how to fix them as busy learners trying to manage your time with AI.

If the allocation takes longer than expected

Pitfalls: Work took much longer than you thought.

AI Solutions: Please confirm your assignments and give Copilot a quote of the time to complete them.

One senior told me that he spent six hours reading ingredients they assumed would take about an hour to absorb. Certainly, that five-page excerpt may seem easy and easy to tackle, but students often surprise their expectations that they are not in real life even when they enter the trench.

Microsoft Copilot is billed as an AI assistant that uses large language models to help you with many conversational queries, making it a great way to understand whether the work is really time consuming. Copilot is built into Edge, Microsoft's browser, allowing you to quickly and accurately view web pages when viewing.

You can ask Copilot to review your study materials, assignments, deadlines and provide a quote on how long it will take to complete and prepare your work without copying and pasting anything, or to have a long conversation with other text prompt chatbots.

If you are juggling school, work, or life

Pitfalls: Personal and professional priorities outweigh school work.

AI Solutions: Ask Gemini for reminders about assignments and deadlines and let them fill in the calendar for you.

Another senior said he often tries to balance coursework and bill-paying work.

Google Gemini is the company's answer to Openai's Chatbot ChatGpt, and remember that students prioritize school work by integrating alerts into a frequently used set of Google tools, such as Gmail and Google Calendar.

This requires Gemini to grant permission to access other Google tools, but it only takes a second. If you want to receive reminders about assignments and due dates, if you can drop a timeline designed by your co-pilot into chat, repeat the heavy stuff you fill out on the calendar.

When you're struggling with coursework

Pitfalls: Something went wrong, so you're beyond that.

AI Solutions: Use AI Chatbot Abby as a sounding board to see your emotions and suggest areas of improvement.

Graduate students had the mental impact of academic to-do falling through cracks as a major obstacle to maintaining time management. The emotional domino effect of missing something when you are already overwhelmed can be fatal to your overall grades if you set up idgaf disease.

Abby, an AI chatbot aimed at providing therapist comfort and guided introspection, offers a sounding board to review your emotions and find silver lining in every poop-colored cloud.

Early in the conversation with the tool, Abby will provide an analysis of your situation as you described it, and offer some positive traits that it identifies you, as well as suggestions in areas of improvement.
