In a move aimed at strengthening technology-driven governance, officials from various departments of the Delhi government are undergoing training to improve their skills in artificial intelligence (AI) applications with a focus on improving efficiency, responsiveness and public service delivery.
A two-day capacity building program on 'Advancing AI in Governance' is being organized by the Planning Department, Government of NCT, Delhi, in collaboration with NITI Aayog and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), which serves as the lead knowledge institution under the National Support Mission of NITI Aayog. The program was launched at the India International Center.
This initiative is in line with the vision of Viksit Delhi @2047 and more than 20 officials from various departments of the Delhi government have joined the program.
Highlighting the role of emerging technologies in governance, Ajmul Haq, Secretary, Planning Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, said, “AI will significantly improve the accessibility and efficiency of government services and enable faster responses to citizen queries.”
The program includes expert sessions with GGSIPU faculty and AI practitioners from across the country, focusing on real-world applications of AI in public administration, service delivery, and policy implementation.
