Albany, Ga. (WALB) – This week marks the start of the second annual AIM (Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing) week, ending September 29th to October 3rd.
This year's theme is “Tomorrow's purpose.”
The event will be held virtually and in person in nine Georgia communities. The event is intended to help manufacturers, farmers, students, entrepreneurs and educators gain knowledge about AI.
On October 1st, Albany will host an action on Agritechnology, featuring innovations in hydroponics and other agriculture advances.
The statewide event will showcase artificial intelligence and other innovations strengthen Georgia's industry. From manufacturing to agriculture, the event hopes to train workers and connect students to smart technology.
This year's program is funded by a $65 million US Department of Commerce Department of Economic Development grant, according to the release. Georgia Aim is the largest federally funded program of its kind. The project is led by Georgia Tech.
