The 2025 survey highlights the realities of key markets, including the transition from AI experimental business to strategic business enablers. Additionally, the adoption of generation and agent AI remains modest, with 15% and 7% of organizations having respectively in production, but the experiments are now widespread. Despite these benefits, the maturity of AI governance remains uneven between companies that centralize it and those with an ad hoc approach.

Dresner's research found that Modelops' responsibility is increasingly shifting towards centralized functioning to enhance governance and infrastructure. This responsibility (40%) is undertaken and exceeds data science (24%). Furthermore, the adoption of Agent AI accelerates the need for robust model Ops.
