IBM announces 800 new AI jobs across Ireland

Technology giant IBM Ireland has announced new investments that will create up to 800 tech jobs across Ireland.

The company said it will help build advanced software backed by the latest artificial intelligence technology to advance security, automation and hybrid cloud.

AI technology includes fundamental large-scale language models that are key to generative AI.

The investment will create hundreds of roles in research and development, digital sales and consulting. Ireland continues to be one of IBM's strategic locations worldwide.

These roles will be created across the IBM site in Dublin, Co. Cork and IBM's Red Hat subsidiary in Waterford.

The new staff will join IBM and Red Hat's vibrant and diverse workforce and help strengthen Ireland's rich and highly skilled technology talent pool to support employment in knowledge-intensive, high-tech sectors. Masu.

The three-year investment is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
