our next generation Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses Includes Meta AI for an integrated hands-free on-the-go experience. Meta AI lets you inspire creativity, get information, and control your glasses using just your voice. Today we're introducing new updates to make your glasses smarter and more convenient than ever.
We are launching an early access program that allows Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses customers to try out upcoming features and provide feedback prior to release. Starting today, customers who opt into the program will have access to the following new tests: Multimodal functionality powered by AI. Not only will you be able to talk using your glasses, but the glasses will also be able to understand what you're seeing using a built-in camera. You can ask Meta AI to write a caption for a photo you took while hiking, or you can ask Meta AI to describe an object you're holding.
As you try these new experiences, keep in mind that these multimodal AI features may not always work correctly during testing. We continue to learn what works best and improve the experience for all our users. Your feedback will help us make Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses better and smarter over time. This early access program is open to Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses owners in the United States. Interested parties can register using the Meta View app on iOS and Android. Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed and that your smart glasses are also updated.
In addition to the early access program, we are beginning to roll out Meta AI capabilities on the glasses that leverage Bing in part to retrieve real-time information. You can ask Meta AI for information like sports scores, local landmarks, restaurants, stocks, and more. For example, you could say, “Meta, who won the men's division at this year's Boston Marathon?” or “Hey Meta, is there a pharmacy near me?” Real-time search will be gradually rolled out to customers of his Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in the US.

And Meta AI can now help you outside of chat. We do some of the heavy lifting behind the scenes to make your product experience on Facebook and Instagram more fun and useful than ever. The large-scale language model technology behind Meta AI gives people in various English markets the option of AI-generated post comment suggestions, community chat topic suggestions in groups, and search results. and used to enhance product copy in your shop. We're also powering an all-new standalone experience for creative enthusiasts called Imagine with Meta AI.
Create and riff on images with friends
One of the most used features in Meta AI's messaging app is Imagin, a text-to-image generator that lets you create and share images on the fly. We're always looking for ways to make AI more fun and social. That's why today we're excited to add a new feature to Meta AI in Messenger and Instagram called Reimagin. Here's how it works in group chat: Meta AI generates and shares the first image requested by the user. Your friend can then long-press on the image, provide a simple text prompt, and Meta AI will generate an entirely new image. We were able to bounce images back and forth, laugh, and compete with each other with increasingly wild ideas.
Discover new experiences with Meta AI reels
Sometimes it's not enough just to read about something, you want to see and experience it in addition to the text. With Reel, you can do that. It's a great way to discover new content, connect with creators, and get inspired. And now we're starting to roll out Reels in meta AI chat as well.
Let's say you're planning a trip to Tokyo with your friends in a group chat. Let Meta AI recommend the best places to visit, share reels of top sites, and help you decide which attractions are must-sees.
This is just the first example of how we can build deeper integrations across apps and make Meta AI an even more connected personal assistant over time.
Improve your experience on Facebook
And we continue to innovate Facebook to power people's everyday experiences and make it easier than ever to express and discover.
Powered by Meta AI under the hood, you can create the perfect birthday greeting to share with your best friend, edit your own feed posts, create clever introductions for your Facebook dating profile, and more. We are exploring ways to use AI to new group.
We're also testing an easy way to create and share AI-generated images on Facebook. For example, use Meta AI to convert images from landscape to portrait so they can be more easily shared in Stories.
We're also testing using Meta AI to display relevant information within groups. This allows you to never miss the most important conversations, suggest new chat topics, and stay active in the community. Marketplaces are testing using Meta AI to help people learn more about the products they're considering buying and easily find related and substitute products. We're also testing the use of Meta AI to improve search capabilities for Friends, Pages, Groups, and Marketplace listings.
Helping creators respond to their fans

Invisible watermarks, red teams, etc. will be added in the future

We also continue to invest in Red Teaming, which has been part of our culture for many years. Recently we introduced: Multi-Round Automatic Red Teaming (MART), a framework for improving LLM safety by training an adversarial LLM and a target LLM through automatic iterative adversarial red teaming. We are continually red teaming and working to incorporate the MART framework into AI to improve safety.
Finally, we continue to listen to feedback from people with experience with AI, including meta-AI.
