Integrating AI in Business: Transforming the Industry

Rapid advances in technology, especially through artificial intelligence, are transforming many sectors by increasing efficiency, reducing costs, providing strategic insights, and improving customer experience. This integration of AI into business is helping companies compete more effectively in the marketplace.

Strategic business integration using AI

The rise of APIs and microservices and the shift to digital and cloud-first approaches has increased the number and complexity of apps, requiring advanced data processing and event-driven architectures. Boomi can integrate data from different sources, protocols, and formats to create a consistent protocol, Goel explained.

“The client wanted to build an app that could take advantage of the event-driven architectures out there, and I think that's where Boomi fits in really well. From different sources, different protocols, different formats. data can be integrated,” he said. “You put all of this together to create a protocol. There are some very exciting times ahead in terms of the future of integration, especially in terms of the entry of AI.”

Technology is changing dramatically, and enterprise software must be rewritten to accommodate new AI technologies. According to Goel, integration challenges include future-proofing, supporting all integration patterns, and ensuring the architecture is scalable and flexible.

“The future of AI is built into integrations, eliminating the need for routine manual mapping and configuration within integrations,” he said. “I no longer worry about data quality after integration. Imagine having an AI agent that can look at past data flows and make proactive suggestions and tell you, ‘Hey, this pattern is incorrect. 'This mapping is wrong.' They can get out of this modernization challenge by deploying a platform like Boomi.

Boomi and Infosys are collaborating to bring together integrated and automated systems on one platform, providing governance and flexibility to democratize development while helping organizations respond to the rise of autonomous agents. It's a balance, Lucas explained.

“What we're doing at Boomi, especially at Infosys, is helping organizations look to their future, a future where it's not just about apps and databases and APIs. It's so important,” Lucas said. “This is today and now, but when you add agents to it, it becomes infinitely more complex. Without it, you can’t really work on that future.”
