Microsoft doubles down on AI by investing more than $3 billion to build infrastructure in Wisconsin President Biden will head to Wisconsin today to make an announcement alongside Microsoft President Brad Smith Yahoo Finance's Dan Harry will also be in attendance. Hey, Dan, what do you know about this? Yes, Brad, this is his $3.3 billion infrastructure investment from Microsoft in Racine, Wisconsin. This is the same location where President Trump was talking about building a large facility for Foxconn's displays. They ended up reducing that amount significantly. Those ambitious goals have not actually been achieved. Um, so now Microsoft is moving into this space, uh, with this facility, it's going to be a data center. Well, obviously with the explosion of AI, we need board data centers as part of the problem that Microsoft said. In the last earnings call, he said the reason AI revenue didn't increase this quarter was because the company couldn't meet the demand for AI needs. So this will help them build it. In addition to that, they plan to provide educational programs to nearby residents so that they can be trained in AI. We also offer programs to get local business leaders started using AI. So this is all part of Microsoft's efforts. This is as companies smoothly transition to more AI use cases while continuing to build the facilities needed to run this type of technology.
