SEVENTEEN releases new album, AI puts spin on “MAESTRO” music video

AI Video & Visuals

K-pop giants SEVENTEEN are back today with the release of their album “17 is Right Here,'' which includes four new songs. The lead single “MAESTRO” came with a music video. The album also features a digital-only instrumental version of their debut single “Adore U.” The album consists of 33 tracks in total, including 20 lead singles from past Korean releases.

Seventeen's “MAESTRO” depicts the fun elements of boys adapting to the new era and using AI-generated visuals to provide an amazing visual experience. The choreography is sophisticated and familiar. Lively vocals set to a fun rhythm. What's also interesting is that the group first breaks up into units before doing a dance break at the end of the song, like a perfect climax to the build-up.

The song boasts SEVENTEEN's traditional energy, and its composition was done by none other than Uzi. The lyrics of 'Maestro' are a shout out to SEVENTEEN for the various colors they have shown over the past nine years and for SEVENTEEN to assert their position in the music space. With this, SEVENTEEN has further solidified its role as a pioneer in K-Pop.

Following “Maestro'' are the hip-hop unit “LALALI,'' the performance unit “Spell,'' and the vocal unit “Cheers to Youth.'' SEVENTEEN members include S.Coups, Woozi, Joshua, Jeonghan, DK, Dino, Mingyu, Jun, Wonwoo, Seungkwan, Vernon, The 8, and Hoshi.

Meanwhile, Woozi participated in the lyrics of “LALALI'' with all members of the hip-hop unit (S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon), and The8 and Dino wrote the unit's exclusive song “Spell.''

SEVENTEEN to release new album in 2024

SEVENTEEN is planning to release a follow-up album this year. We are planning to hold another concert this year. The members acknowledged the same thing at a press conference held in Seoul on April 29th. The members also emphasized that while the main idea of the new album is to celebrate their journey, the new songs hint at the group's change and adaptability. Always upgrade and update yourself. The AI concept is also one of the thrilling aspects of the new album. The group also said that because of their bond, they managed to stay together despite being 13 people.

“We go to dinner every month and talk about our true feelings. We bond by talking about the good as well as the negative. Sometimes we fight, and sometimes we fight like crazy. But if we know that we support each other, we can overcome any difficulties,'' the members reiterated when asked about their bond.

The members also teased the many Easter eggs that will be provided to fans in the music video.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN won PUSH Performance of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards and became the first K-Pop artist to win Best New and Best Push at the MTV European Music Awards in 2022. The curtain closed. Their album “FML” sold over 6.2 million copies worldwide and was recognized by IFPI as the best-selling world album of 2023.
