Patent information is a large public data source. As part of our digitization strategy in our PS patent and scientific information services enablement capabilities, we are now focused on advanced data analytics.
Your role:
Unleashing the power of patent information as a data source for AI analytics is our next challenge. Enabling Features PS (Patent and Scientific Information Service) addresses exploratory data analysis of patent and scientific data.
You act as the PS interface to the business unit’s data office/corporate data lake for patent data and to software developers for our requirements. Educating the organization on data “knowledge” and prototyping new tools and dashboards are further tasks.
The office is located in Darmstadt, Germany.
Who are you:
- Master’s degree in physics, informatics, computer/data science, or related field
- Minimum 1 year, preferably 3+ years of data analysis experience
- Hands-on programming experience in Python, R, Java, JavaScript or Matlab, SAS or C++
- Familiarity with data science tools such as data analytics, data processing, statistics, AI/ML, and the ability to use them to create dashboards and working prototypes for demonstration purposes
- Ideally, you should have first-time experience with data analysis of patent information sources and related data structures. I would like to learn more about patent information as a data source and would like to become an expert in the field.
- You have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Work collaboratively with a cross-functional global team
