YouTube is experimenting with AI-generated quizzes in its mobile apps for iOS and Android devices. It is designed to help viewers learn more about the subject matter covered in the instructional videos. This feature also helps video-sharing platforms better understand how well each video covers a particular topic.
The AI-generated quiz YouTube pointed out on its experiment page yesterday is being rolled out globally to a small number of users who watch “some” instructional videos, the company wrote. The quiz feature is only available on a select number of English-language content and appears as a link under Recently Watched Videos in his Home feed.
Not all of YouTube’s experiments make it onto the platform, so it will be interesting to see if this takes hold. I can’t tell you how many people, especially those who haven’t been to school, would want to take a quiz while scrolling through videos.
However, YouTube has long been established as a destination for users to learn new things, such as how to change a car tire or how to perform a backflip. “Edutainment” accounts such as TED-Ed and HowToBasic are among the most popular educational YouTube channels, with 18.8 million and his 17.3 million subscribers respectively.
Additionally, many teachers turn to YouTube to create educational content or find videos to share with their students. So for those who really want to learn more about a topic, the new quiz feature can be an effective way to get a deeper understanding of it.
Earlier this year, YouTube partnered with Crash Course and Arizona State University to launch a “Study Hall” initiative that gives college students free access to four courses covering a variety of subjects, including college math, U.S. history, English composition and more. I was. Crash Course, a channel run by John and Hank Green, has 14.8 million subscribers and approximately 1.6 billion views.
Apart from this, YouTube is also testing features such as a 3 Strikes ad blocking policy for premium subscribers and a new lock screen feature.
