In a landmark partnership, Nvidia Corp and Snowflake Inc have decided to enter into a partnership that will enable enterprises to leverage their own data to build generative AI applications within the Snowflake Data Cloud. The announcement was made Monday at the Snowflake Summit 2023 in Las Vegas.
Leveraging Nvidia NeMo, enterprises will be able to train generative language models to unprecedented levels of sophistication and accuracy on suitable data sets available in Snowflake’s data cloud.TMs Platform and Nvidia GPU.
“In the old days of small data computing, you moved data to your computer.,” Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told Reuters. “But when you have a huge amount of data, like Snowflake, and you have a mountain of proprietary data that is invaluable to your enterprise, move the compute to the data.”
This strategic partnership aims to revolutionize the way companies approach AI development.
The Nvidia NeMo platform is a powerful toolkit designed to accelerate your natural language processing tasks. Snowflake’s data warehousing capabilities give enterprises access to vast amounts of structured and unstructured data that can be seamlessly used to train language models and generate AI-driven insights.
“Snowflake and NVIDIA Partnership Brings High-Performance Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to Our Vast Proprietary Structured Enterprise Data, Enabling New Frontiers to Deliver Unprecedented Insights, Predictions and Prescriptions for the Global Business World To do.,” Said Frank Slotman, Snowflake Chairman and CEO.
The Snowflake and Nvidia partnership not only provides a joint platform that enables customers to rapidly develop and deploy customized AI, but also addresses challenges related to data privacy and security. Snowflake’s built-in data governance and compliance features ensure businesses can harness the power of data without compromising privacy or regulatory requirements.
Demand for industry-specific data is growing. The breadth of domain-specific data clouds available on Snowflake’s cloud data platform is more than enough to meet your demands. As a result, this collaboration is already attracting a great deal of attention from industry leaders, researchers and developers who recognize its immense potential.
“More companies than we expected are increasingly recognizing the value of their data assets and are training, or at least fine-tuning, their AI models.,” Said Alexander Harrowell, Principal Analyst, Advanced Computing for AI, Technology Research Group Omdia. “Similarly, companies are starting to operate a wider variety of AI models for business-specific applications.Supporting them in this trend is one of the biggest open opportunities in the field he”
As this partnership takes off, the world is expecting groundbreaking AI applications that will emerge from the synergy between Snowflake’s proprietary data platform and NVIDIA’s NEMO toolkit. The possibilities are endless and the impact on business and society at large will be truly transformative.
