A recent trademark filing by Kanye West suggests he may be looking to broaden his horizons. This trademark includes services such as animal care, hotel services, cake decorating, and youth hostel services. Under the YZY SHLTR brand, this application conspicuously suggests Ye digging deep into his AI world. “Rental of cooking robots” and “Rental of robots for making drinks” are also posted.
Kanye is clearly looking to expand his empire with his latest trademark. Just last month, Ye also applied for the trademark “YZY SOCK SHOES” and listed “socks; socks.” leather-soled socks,” the document reads. The socks in question mimic those recently worn by Ye and his wife Bianca Censori. The news comes on the heels of Adidas revealing plans to sell unsold Yeezy shoes worth about $1 billion.

Kanye’s new business

Adidas CEO Björn Gulden explained at the time that “burning shoes is not the solution.” “Over time, what we’re looking to do now is sell some of this inventory and donate the money to organizations that support us and were hurt by Kanye’s words.” he explained. The brand cut ties with Ye in 2022 after he made several anti-Semitic remarks in public.
Adidas has chosen to donate proceeds from the remaining sales to various charities. Proceeds will go to the Anti-Defamation League and the Philones & Keta Floyd Institute for Social Change, run by George Floyd’s brother and sister-in-law. “We believe this is the best solution because it respects the design created and the shoe manufactured,” explained Gulden. “This will be beneficial to our employees, solve inventory problems and have a positive impact on our communities. There is no room for hate of any kind, neither in sport nor in society, and we will fight hate.” We are still working on it.”
