Customer relationship management (CRM) software provider Salesforce has launched two new generative AI-based products called Marketing GPT and Commerce GPT to help businesses build personalized services for their customers.

The company says Segment Creation, which will begin piloting this summer and will be available to the public in October, will also provide AI-powered targeting recommendations based on data from the data cloud.

Marketing GPT can also generate personalized emails with email content creation features designed to help improve testing and engagement.

Other features of Marketing GPT include segment intelligence for the data cloud, rapid identity resolution, segmentation, and engagement.

By using Segment Intelligence for Data Cloud, businesses can automatically connect their own data, revenue data, and third-party paid media data for a more comprehensive view of audience engagement, according to Salesforce. It is said that the return on investment can be improved.


According to the company, its rapid identity resolution, segmentation and engagement capabilities will automatically resolve customer identities and update segments in the Data Cloud for greater accuracy.

Commerce GPT comes with a tool called Goals-based Commerce. With this tool, businesses can set goals and targets and provide actionable insights along with proactive recommendations on how to reach them.


“Goals-Based Commerce, powered by Data Cloud, Einstein AI and Flow, provides recommendations to achieve desired outcomes, from improving margins to increasing average order value (AOV),” the company said.
