Who will benefit most from the inevitable mobile integration of artificial intelligence? An article by Richard Waters (Reports, FT.com, May 16) sheds some light, but the Desire cannot be fully captured.
Yes, tailoring AI models to mobile phones is still experimental, but the aforementioned “rudimentary apps” like photo editing shouldn’t be underestimated. They will change the way we work. For one thing, more people will create and edit new images. Mobile users can explore a collection of AI-generated images to use in their projects, customize prompts, type words and adjust pixel dimensions to create new images.
Much of the success of mobile AI hinges on its ability to easily complement the artistic process. AI should enhance human creativity, not replace it.
This is especially good news for designers and creators.
About a third of designers will quit their jobs in 2021. Burnout is the cause, and client rejection of the best ideas plays a key role.
Generative AI offers such compelling solutions for those in the industry precisely because they advocate for humans at the wheel.
