A new apprenticeship training program in AI and data science has been launched by training specialist Learnmore to meet demand from employers to upskill their staff.
Research shows that skills are in short supply in these rapidly changing workplace areas, so Learnmore courses help participants build practical skills while achieving recognized standards.
A recent study by the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology found that the AI skills shortage is widespread, with 97% of organizations reporting at least one gap.
Additionally, 57% cited technology gaps in areas such as data science, and 28% said these gaps were impacting their ability to achieve business goals.
It is open to colleagues working in any business sector. In addition to Level 3 AI Essentials and Level 4 Applying AI For Business, Learnmore now also offers Level 3 Data Essentials and Level 4 Applying Data For Business.
Level 3 courses will give participants the skills to confidently use AI or data science in the workplace, while Level 4 programs will help professionals develop more advanced skills to apply their knowledge towards business goals.
Client director Charlie Gray said Larnmore had rolled out the program to meet the urgent requirements of businesses adapting to the rapid pace of change. he said: “Our new Level 3 and Level 4 apprenticeships focus on the practical, day-to-day skills that businesses are craving as organizations aim to connect the potential of AI and data to results.”
Commercial Director Faith Mills added: “Companies not only need highly skilled AI and data experts, but also everyday ‘champions’ who can safely and efficiently leverage what they learn to drive commercial value.
“Our Level 3 and 4 programs put actionable data and AI tools directly into the hands of employees from day one, preparing them to take advantage of the opportunities ahead.”
Based at The Lantern in central London, Larnmore offers apprenticeships and qualifications in leadership and management, facilities management, hospitality, women’s leadership and learning and development. Clients include Mitie, ISS, and Impact Food Group.
