Kuadra, a MENA-based construction technology company that provides AI implementation and workflow automation services, is preparing to launch the industry’s first AI-powered integrated platform for managing the entire project lifecycle for contractors. The move aims to accelerate digital transformation in one of Egypt’s largest economic sectors.
Kuadra founder and CEO Ahmed Salem said the platform automates core procurement and project management functions, allowing contractors to analyze bid documents, extract technical specifications, allocate work packages to suppliers and subcontractors, and evaluate bids through a single AI-powered system. The platform is designed to shorten procurement cycles, improve efficiency and support faster decision-making.
Salem added that while the construction sector is one of the largest contributors to Egypt’s GDP, it remains one of the least digitalized industries, despite generating and processing vast amounts of technical documentation and project data suitable for AI applications.
He said contractors typically rely on specialized teams to manually review bid documents, which often run into hundreds of pages, to identify technical specifications and project requirements. This process can take days or even weeks, slowing bid preparation and decision-making and increasing operational costs.
Additionally, Salem explained that Kuadra’s AI platform automates the entire bid review process within hours instead of days by analyzing project documents, extracting technical specifications, and generating structured executive summaries.
This summary includes key project details such as material specifications, dimensions, brand, and country of origin, helping contractors speed procurement, improve bid accuracy, make more informed decisions, and minimize human error.
He made it clear that the company’s goal is to increase, not replace, engineers. By incorporating the expertise of experienced professionals into AI-powered workflows, the platform enables young engineers to complete technical tasks faster and more accurately, allowing them to spend more time on engineering analysis, design, and innovation instead of repetitive administrative tasks.
Salem noted that Kuadra was founded in 2025 to fill the technology gap in the construction industry, bringing together a founding team with expertise in artificial intelligence, business development, and operations to deliver AI solutions tailored to the complex workflows of the sector.
Quadra’s CEO said the company plans to expand its technology into the oil and gas sector, where procurement processes, technical documentation and supply chain operations closely resemble those of the construction industry.
Kuadra is also in advanced discussions to establish a strategic partnership with one of Egypt’s top five construction companies, a step that will significantly expand the adoption of its AI platform.
Salem said Kuadra aims to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across the construction industry by providing training programs for engineering companies and professionals on how to effectively use AI tools, increasing productivity and raising engineering standards across the sector.
He also revealed that the company recently closed a funding round led by Edafa Venture following its participation in GITEX, describing the investors as strategic partners who will support Kuadra’s commercial growth and technology development, rather than just a source of capital.
Salem concluded that Kuadra aims to develop a fully integrated digital platform that will become the technological backbone of construction companies. The platform is designed to strengthen the competitiveness of Egypt’s construction industry as it embraces digital transformation by enabling faster data-driven decision-making, reducing operational costs and streamlining project execution.
