An artist just signed to the label is touring in support of Maren Morris.
Scout Willis delivers a powerful kiss-off to an unfaithful lover with her epic new gospel-rock song “Honey Eye.” “Honey, I…don’t have to, I don’t have to love you to love me,” she sings in the chorus. Her voice sounds playful, vulnerable, and at times sassy as it rises to the melody and reflects the lyrics that affirm one’s worth. The song will be included on an upcoming album released by 10K Projects, part of Atlantic Music Group. The song follows the release of her songs “It Ain’t Nothing” and “So Many Ways.”
Willis shot the song’s “Honey, I” video at the historic 102-year-old Highland Theater in Los Angeles, which actress Kristen Stewart recently purchased for preservation. Her name is on the movie theater marquee and she’s dancing alone between the seats, which is the point of the song.
“Essentially, this song is about what to do with lost love,” Willis says. rolling stone. “This is an ode to those moments when you remember who you really are after a breakup and turn it into your biggest victory yet. To me, this is one of the most meaningful tracks on the album, and it feels like the perfect first song to release on Atlantic. I’m so happy to have them as my partners as I grow as an artist and truly stretch my wings.”
The artist, who recently performed for the first time at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, embarks on a tour with Maren Morris starting Saturday in Napa, California. On Bluebird, she sang “Honey Eye” with Willis and songwriters Derick Adam Sutherland and Maddie Diaz, who co-wrote the song with JT Daley. Willis’ tour with Morris continues through July 25, ending in Bonner, Montana.
