Mukesh Bansal’s Nurix AI acquires enterprise conversational AI company Verloop.io

AI For Business

Nurix AI, an enterprise AI company that builds autonomous AI software and agents for complex business workflows, has acquired Verloop.io, an enterprise conversational AI company.

The acquisition builds on NuPlay, Nurix’s flagship voice AI platform for customer engagement, and adds Verloop.io’s chat automation expertise and regional customer base. We aim to extend Nurix’s conversational AI capabilities to voice and chat for businesses in India and the Middle East.

With this acquisition, Nurix AI and Verloop.io will be able to help enterprises deploy production-grade AI agents across voice, chat, and emerging AI native channels to drive business outcomes at scale.

Founded in 2024 by Mukesh Bansal, Nurix builds AI agents that help companies automate complex workflows and drive measurable business outcomes. The company, backed by General Catalyst, Accel, and Prosus, is focused on helping enterprises move beyond AI pilots to production deployments that improve efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.

In September 2024, Nurix AI will also be available. $27.5 million General Catalyst and Accel co-led the funding, with participation from Meraki Labs.

Founded in 2015 by Gaurav Singh, Verloop.io has built its business around helping companies automate customer conversations across digital channels in banking, fintech, retail, and telecommunications. As part of Nurix AI, Verloop.io’s team and operations will support the company’s expansion across chat-driven customer engagement use cases.

This acquisition expands Nurix’s ability to support enterprises that require AI agents for both synchronous voice interactions and asynchronous chat-driven. After this transaction, Verloop.io will become part of Nurix AI. The companies have not disclosed any further product integration plans at this time.

Verloop.io currently claims to power over 20 million customer interactions every month.
