turktelekom Signed a new cooperation protocol with the Turkish Ministry of Justice Expand the use of artificial intelligence and next-generation technologies within the country’s prison system to further drive the digital transformation of public services.
The agreement builds on the Integration of Smart Technologies in Penal Institutions Project (ACEP), a long-term joint initiative between Turk Telekom and the Ministry of Justice. The new phase will integrate AI-driven capabilities into the project’s digital infrastructure to improve operational efficiency across the correctional facility.
The protocol was signed between Turk Telekom and the Directorate General of Prisons and Detention Centers of the Ministry of Justice, reinforcing the partnership’s efforts to modernize public sector operations through advanced digital technologies.
The enhanced ACEP platform was developed by Innova, a Türk Telekom group company, using locally designed technology and domestic resources. The solution is designed to provide a more comprehensive digital transformation for penal institutions, while supporting Turkey’s broader ‘Digital Turkey’ agenda and national technology strategy.
Turk Telekom said this initiative reflects its continued role in supporting the digitalization of the public sector through its communications infrastructure and technical expertise. The company aims to integrate AI and other emerging technologies into government systems to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and accelerate the adoption of digital services across public institutions.
