As companies rush to move AI from experimentation to production, TripleTen has opened enrollment for its new AI Systems Engineering program. This is a 40-week career accelerator for current engineers who want to move into senior positions in AI infrastructure and systems. The first cohort begins on August 20, 2026.
The demand for engineers who can design, deploy, and maintain production AI systems exceeds the supply of people with these skills. According to PwC’s 2025 Global AI Employment Barometer, jobs that require AI skills now have a wage premium of 56%, more than double the 25% a year ago.
The AI Systems Engineering Accelerator is designed to prepare engineers for roles that require the ability to design, scale, and manage AI systems in production environments. Over 40 weeks, students learn to build the types of systems that senior engineering teams are currently deploying. They are mentored one-on-one by current senior and staff engineers from top technology companies, holding students to the same standards expected in their future roles.

About the AI System Engineering Program
The AI Systems Engineering Accelerator is built on TripleTen’s core approach. This means a curriculum that is reviewed every two months in the light of employer recruitment needs, hands-on projects across the board, and instructors and mentors currently working in the technology and AI fields. The program includes live lectures, asynchronous learning, community sessions, networking events, and dedicated career preparation.
“Most engineers can use AI. Far fewer can stand up the infrastructure on which AI runs, whether it’s Kubernetes, Terraform, or real-world observability, and keep it reliable under load. These engineers are in short supply, and this program is built to fill that gap.”
Pavel Sviridov, CTO, TripleTen
The curriculum consists of eight modules. Students will move from the fundamentals of system design through APIs, data, and cloud architectures to distributed systems, security and compliance, and production AI design, covering LLM integration, RAG pipelines, agent AI, ML platforms, and AI governance. Participants will build four production-grade open source projects that they fully own and can continue developing them after the program ends. They then present their capstone project and defend their architectural decisions to a panel of judges from partner companies and TripleTen’s mentor network.
As an optional career accelerator component, students spend five weeks embedded in a real engineering team through an internship with a partner company, working on a scope project with a dedicated senior mentor. During the program, they mentor beginners in TripleTen’s entry-level program and build the leadership experience expected in senior-level and staff-level roles.
“We train engineers the way senior teams actually operate. They design distributed systems, defend architectural decisions in reviews, and ship four open source projects they own end-to-end. They leave with a portfolio and the judgment to move into senior roles.”
Victor Menin, TripleTen Vice President of Registration
Graduates who complete the program will be competitive candidates for the roles of AI systems engineer, AI application engineer, staff backend engineer, and AI/ML architect. Graduates join a global network of more than 7,500 TripleTen alumni, gain a direct pipeline to hiring partners, and add more than 300 new technology jobs to TripleTen’s job board every day. Graduates also have free access to future curriculum updates so they can stay abreast of the evolution of AI engineering practices.
