Aerospike expands free developer training as companies build more real-time AI applications

Applications of AI

Aerospike Inc. today opened the Aerospike Academy training program to all developers and operators worldwide. Previously available only to paid enterprise customers, Academy’s structured, self-paced, and interactive courses are now available for free to anyone building on the Aerospike Database.

Aerospike’s sub-millisecond latency and extreme scale were once the realm of the largest consumer applications. As enterprises move agent AI into production, mainstream production workloads now require the same real-time data, scale, and predictable performance.

Combined with Aerospike’s AI-native application development experience, Aerospike’s open source Community Edition (or a free trial of Aerospike Enterprise), developers, coding agents, and operators have everything to quickly launch and scale a new generation of agent AI applications with confidence.

“For most of Aerospike’s history, organizations have turned to us because they had speed and scale problems that most organizations don’t face,” said Srini Srinivasan, Founder and CTO of Aerospike. “By opening up Aerospike Academy to everyone, we welcome all developers reaching that requirement for the first time and provide training for experienced teams to scale Aerospike across the enterprise.”

Training from beginner to advanced, from beginning to expansion

Aerospike Academy offers structured, self-paced learning for all levels of experience, from the basics to advanced operational topics needed to build real-time AI applications.

The course catalog includes:

  • learning launchpad: Short video lessons combined with quizzes to reinforce core concepts.

  • practical module: An interactive exercise and demonstration environment to practice applied skills.

  • Hours of hands-on workshop: Guided lab work and assessments that award digital badges upon completion.

Built to combine with Aerospike’s AI native development experience

Academy training directly aligns with the unified AI-native application development experience that Aerospike announced earlier this year. The new developer experience is purpose-built to help developers and AI coding assistants prototype, integrate, deploy, and troubleshoot production applications on Aerospike’s real-time NoSQL database. Highlights include:

  • Aerospike Voyager is a visual developer workspace for conversationally exploring data and querying your cluster.

  • Embedded MCP server that connects AI agents directly to Aerospike.

  • Updated Aerospike developer SDKs for Java and Python.

Together, these enable developers and their agents to quickly generate production-ready code. Patterns carry over from prototype to production scale without having to learn a second system or rework the architecture as load increases.

How to get started

Aerospike Academy is currently available at learn.aerospike.com. The Aerospike Voyager preview, which includes the Aerospike MCP server, can be downloaded from aerospike.com/voyager. New developer SDKs for Java and Python are available at developer.aerospike.com. Each download includes a getting started guide and sample projects.
