Santiago – June 18, 2026 – Snowflake, an AI Data Cloud company, today officially announced the launch of its operations in Chile, furthering Snowflake’s expansion across Latin America. With this release, Snowflake delivers key capabilities designed to help organizations in Chile build, manage, and operate AI on a single, connected, trusted foundation.
The official announcement was made during a customer-only event at Borago Restaurant in Santiago, led by Bruno Barreto, vice president for Latin America, and Danilo Lazaro, regional manager for Latin America and the Caribbean.
“Chilean organizations are ready to tackle AI quickly, and we are here to help them turn their AI ambitions into real business outcomes,” Barreto explained. “Snowflake enables organizations to innovate based on a shared, trusted view of their data, allowing them to scale AI while maintaining the governance and security capabilities that enterprises demand.”
Building on its established customer base in Chile, which includes Transbank, this milestone further strengthens that commitment.
“At TransBank, we are driving significant technology transformation to continue improving our processes and enhancing the customer experience. Working with Snowflake will enable us to advance the use of new technology and data, including artificial intelligence capabilities, to operate more efficiently and make more agile and strategic decisions,” said Vicente Tredinic, Head of Operations and Technology at TransBank.
Danilo Lazaro, Regional Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, highlighted Chile’s relevance as a technology hub in the region, saying: “Chile is steadily moving towards a digital infrastructure model that is very attractive to Snowflake. The country stands out for its combination of strong institutional framework, high level of connectivity and highly qualified professionals, positioning it as a strategic player and benchmark on the continent.”
The official launch in Chile follows Snowflake’s recent global announcements at Summit 2026, which introduced key innovations across its interoperable data platform, as well as Snowflake CoCo, Snowflake CoWork, and Snowflake Horizon Catalog tools designed to democratize and secure the use of AI in enterprise environments.
