Adobe announced a series of updates across Creative Cloud applications, introducing new artificial intelligence-powered tools and workflow enhancements for photography, video editing, design, and image editing.
Updates span Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator and focus on automating repetitive tasks and improving editing efficiency.
In Lightroom, Adobe has made Assisted Culling generally available. Features include Face View, which analyzes facial details such as eye sharpness and whether the subject’s eyes are open, and Stacking, which groups similar images and recommends the most powerful shots.
The company also introduced Photo to Video, which uses AI technology powered by Firefly and Google Veo to generate motion from still images, and AI Sharpen, which embeds Topaz Labs’ noise-aware sharpening model directly into applications.
Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and Adobe Camera Raw now support all Sony RAW formats for the recently announced Sony Alpha 7R VI camera.
Premiere Pro now includes new audio, captioning, and editing tools. These include global audio mute, marker search, new visual effects like channel blur, gradients, noise FX, and additional transitions like 3D spinback and slide.
The company also introduced single-word captions and a new Stock panel checkout feature that allows users to preview and license Adobe Stock assets without leaving the app.
Adobe’s AI-powered object masking feature in Premiere Pro has been updated to provide faster and more sophisticated masking capabilities.
For After Effects, Adobe introduced Object Matte, an AI-powered toolset designed for rotoscoping and object selection. The software also added enhanced 3D features such as displacement maps, depth of field control, and a new scripting API. Users can now import SVG files as editable shape layers and transfer vector content directly from Illustrator through a copy-and-paste workflow.
Photoshop now includes Reflection Removal, which automatically detects and removes reflections from images taken through glass, while keeping the original image on a separate layer.
The removal tool has also been updated to include on-device generated AI models that can work offline.
Illustrator’s new Concept to Vector feature allows users to turn sketches and low-quality images into editable vector graphics and generate multiple design variations from a single source image or sketch.
The latest Creative Cloud update is rolling out across its applications this week.
