HPE expands industry collaboration to advance quantum computing at scale

HPE announced that it has expanded its relationships with eight companies to integrate high performance computing (HPC) and quantum computing systems and pave the way for future practical and scalable classical-quantum hybrid hybrid applications.

HPE shapes the future of hybrid architectures by enabling seamless integration of quantum and traditional HPC with AI

As a world leader in HPC1 With the HPE Cray supercomputing platform, HPE is uniquely positioned to advance quantum computing, enable hybrid application workflows, and deliver the critical HPC and networking infrastructure needed to integrate new quantum technologies into existing supercomputing environments. By partnering with leaders in quantum processing equipment, quantum error correction, and quantum control, HPE is pioneering a hybrid approach that combines classical supercomputing and quantum computing to enable faster, more efficient solutions for some of the world’s most complex scientific and industrial challenges.

Advances in full-stack hybrid quantum supercomputing across multiple modalities

HPE is collaborating with leading companies such as Intel, IQM, Qblox, Quantinuum, QuEra Computing, Quantum Machines, Rigetti, and Riverlane across a variety of architectural approaches with the goal of building a full-stack hybrid quantum supercomputing platform. These collaborations support the development of integrated testbeds for co-design of hybrid algorithms, software interoperability, and system-level performance benchmarks across HPC and AI environments.

HPE integrates multiple quantum modalities, including neutral atoms, ion traps, superconductivity, and silicon spin qubits (qubits), along with quantum error correction and quantum control systems. Through these efforts, HPE enables the exploration of architectural tradeoffs, the validation of hybrid workflows, and the development and benchmarking of quantum application workloads and workflows running on HPC systems and AI factories.

HPE continues to expand the capabilities of traditional HPC while building a shared community to address practical innovations in quantum computing. HPE is shaping the future of hybrid architectures by enabling the seamless integration of quantum and classical HPC with AI to advance scientific discovery, national security, and industrial innovation.
