Apple today announced new Apple Intelligence features for the Home app, including AI-generated explanations for HomeKit Secure Video camera clips and smarter grouping of accessory notifications.

The Home app uses Apple Intelligence to analyze clips recorded from compatible cameras and generate text descriptions summarizing what happened there. Users can search the footage to find a specific event, such as a package delivery, without having to watch each clip individually.
The app also displays noteworthy clips at the top of the search page, allowing users to quickly identify key moments. When playing a clip, the Home app can combine footage from multiple cameras to provide a more complete picture of the event.

Apple Intelligence also makes accessory notifications smarter. Rather than receiving separate alerts for each triggered accessory, the Home app recognizes related notifications as a single ongoing activity and delivers a single notification that continues to update as the activity unfolds.
