The initiative aims to improve government efficiency, improve the quality of public services, and support the emirate’s transition to an AI-assisted government model.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has led the acceleration of artificial intelligence-powered technology and AI assistants across government operations in Sharjah.
The initiative aims to improve government efficiency, improve the quality of public services, and support the emirate’s transition to an AI-assisted government model. The directive reflects Sharjah’s broader commitment to digital transformation, centered on improving government performance while maintaining a human-centric approach.
As part of this initiative, the Sharjah Digital Authority has been tasked with leading the development of the Sharjah AI Assistant Program in collaboration with government agencies across the emirate. The program will focus on establishing the necessary infrastructure and enablers, identifying implementation priorities, and supporting government departments to accelerate the adoption of AI assistants within their operations.
The move is also in line with Sharjah’s efforts to strengthen digital sovereignty, empower local talent, and leverage cutting-edge technology to improve service delivery and operational efficiency across the public sector.
The Crown Prince further directed that cooperation efforts should be extended to stakeholders in the private sector, academic institutions and local communities. The partnership is expected to support innovation and sustainability initiatives, strengthen national capacity, and provide access to expertise that can contribute to the successful implementation of AI technologies across government services.
This initiative marks another step in Sharjah’s ongoing digital transformation strategy as the country continues to integrate emerging technologies into public sector operations to enhance efficiency and future readiness.
