Detecon and Red Sea Global have partnered to offer an AI basics training program. More than 330 experts from across the region attended to gain insight into the power of AI and how the technology can be leveraged to enhance their jobs and roles.
In this session, led by Detecon’s Adam Mazouz, participants learned from the basics of artificial intelligence (AI), to structured prompt writing for generative AI, and principles for responsible AI use. Participants come from a wide range of backgrounds, including engineers, data scientists, entrepreneurs, students, job seekers, and public sector professionals.
Participants came from across the region, including Umruj, Tabuk, Al Wadi and Dubai, and a high percentage of them were Saudi nationals. More than 7 in 10 participants were under the age of 35, demonstrating the next generation’s strong interest in embracing and leading AI.
During the 3.5-hour session, participants not only gained insight but also gained practical lessons that can be applied directly to their own work situations.
In particular, the most important points were not technical. Mazouz emphasized that curiosity is the most valuable asset in a world that is evolving faster than any curriculum can keep up with. “Curiosity – the willingness to ask questions, try, fail and try again – is the driving force behind personal growth and skill development,” he said. “Curiosity opens the door to what’s next. It’s the ability to learn and apply with confidence.”
Reflecting on the event, Mazouz said Detecon was proud to be able to contribute to future skills development in the Red Sea region. “Having 330 people join us to learn the basics of AI is more than just participation. It’s a community passionate about investing in the future of AI.”
