From 2019 to 2023, Munjurul served as Manager of Analytics and Data Science at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In this role, he built predictive tools that significantly increased hospital capacity management throughput. He made significant contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic by developing real-time tools that enable the transfer of patients from local hospitals to advanced facilities such as Johns Hopkins University. These systems have enabled the timely admission of hundreds of patients each day who require specialized care not available at local hospitals, ultimately saving lives through innovative technology solutions. This achievement is one of Munjurulu’s most notable professional milestones.

From 2016 to 2019, Mr. Munjurul held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, applying advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to support clinical research and hospital operations. Concurrently, from 2016 to 2018, he worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focusing on data integration and reporting solutions that enhance decision-making capabilities within organizations.

Before moving into healthcare analytics, Mr. Munjurul worked in the banking sector in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. From 2015 to 2016, he was Assistant Vice President for Anti-Money Laundering Optimization Statistics at Citi, where he developed AI tools to enhance anti-money laundering management and sanctions compliance. His work includes building systems to monitor the U.S. government’s sanctions list and designing text-matching algorithms to detect individuals attempting to circumvent restrictions through false names or impersonation. These efforts supported efforts to prevent illicit transactions involving sanctioned companies in Latin America, North Korea, Iran, and elsewhere.

From 2014 to 2015, Mr. Munjurul served as a statistical consultant for Cognitives at CenturyLink, providing analytical expertise to large-scale data projects in telecommunications. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Systems Engineer at TATA Consultancy Services Limited from 2012 to 2013, where he contributed to software development initiatives for clients across the globe.

Mr. Munjurul’s educational background has helped shape the trajectory of his career. He earned a Master of Science in Business Analytics from the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business in 2014, gaining advanced skills in quantitative analysis and data-driven decision-making. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication engineering from Gandhi University of Technology and Management, India, which he completed in 2012.

Complementing his formal education, Munjurul’s commitment to professional development is evidenced by several industry certifications, including the Cogito Data Model Certification from Epic Systems Corporation, awarded in 2020. Clarity Data Model – ASAP Certification from Epic Systems Corporation (Achieved in 2017). His professional standing is further reflected in his recognition as a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers from 2024.
