Its value has reached nearly USD 100 billion and is expected to increase 20 times to nearly USD 2 trillion by 2030.

The University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program is a community resource that provides early-stage companies with the tools, training, and infrastructure to become financially stable, high-growth/impact companies. Since 1999, this award-winning program has provided critical business development resources. As a result, more than 300 local startups have realized their potential faster, graduated into the community, continued to grow, and positively impacted the local economy.

With eight facilities across the region, the UCF Business Incubation Program is an economic development partnership between the University of Central Florida, Corridor County, Orange County, Osceola County, Seminole County, Volusia County, the City of Kissimmee, the City of Orlando, and the City of Winter Springs. In the 2017/2018 financial year, the activities of these participating companies contributed to the retention of more than 6,725 local jobs and had a cumulative impact of more than $725 million on regional GDP and more than $1.3 billion on regional sales. During the same period, the program refunded more than $12 in state and local taxes for every $1 invested in the program. Additionally, for every $1.00 of public investment, businesses generated an additional $118 in local GDP and $226 in local sales.
