
The conference begins in the graphic era

Dehradun, April 24: Experts from India and abroad told Graphicera that the development of AI-based technology products is one of the biggest opportunities for the future.
A two-day international conference on device intelligence, computing and communication technologies began today at Graphic Era Deemed to be University. Addressing the first session, DRDO Secretary (Technology Management) Chief Guest LC Mangal said that when AI is combined with advanced computing power, the possibilities for innovation and discovery increase manifold. This not only accelerates the development of new technologies, but also enables effective solutions to complex problems. He added that students working in this field can not only develop new skills but also create large-scale employment opportunities.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Napinder Singh said this is an era of rapidly evolving technology and device intelligence is the strongest foundation for this transformation. On smart cities, he said cities of the future will be powered by smart devices, making life simpler, safer and more organized.
Professor Nicola Marchetti from the Faculty of Engineering, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, emphasized that a deep understanding of complex systems and information theory is essential to building robust and reliable communications networks of the future. He pointed out that the network structure directly affects its stability and performance, and the integration of AI and advanced technologies will make future 6G networks more capable, secure and adaptable.
Professor Purna Gaur, Director, NSUT West Campus, and Urmi Shrivastava, Chief General Manager, India Optel Limited, Dehradun, also spoke at the conference.
The two-day conference will feature 10 technical sessions covering topics such as machine learning, smart device networks, photonic crystal fiber sensors, semiconductor device analysis, and object detection. More than 100 research papers will be presented during the event.
The conference is organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Graphic Era Deemed to be University in collaboration with IEEE, DRDO and SERB India. The event was attended by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Santosh S. Saraf, Registrar Dr. Naresh Kumar Sharma, Dean Dr. Irfanul Hasan, Prof. Nishchhar K. Verma, Prof. Sudev Dasgupta, Dr. Malati S., Dr. Bajrang Prasad Mishra, Dr. Mridul Gupta along with faculty and students. The conference was moderated by Dr. Sakshi Gupta.
