Amazon Ads is introducing an AI-powered video generation tool to the Australian market, specifically targeting businesses running Sponsored Brands ads on Amazon Stores. The tool is designed to power video advertising, allowing brands to upload product images, existing videos, or Amazon product pages to create six realistic, high-motion videos showcasing their products.
Video Generator aims to lower the barrier to entry into video advertising, especially for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that lack resources for video production. During the Australian beta phase, more than 12% of advertisers launching Sponsored Brands for the first time used videos created with Video Generator.
According to research commissioned by Amazon Ads in 2025, Australian small business marketing leaders estimate they can save around 7.3 hours per week by using AI tools to manage their advertising campaigns. The Video Generator tool features multi-scene storytelling, intelligent video summarization, brand customization, and more.
The tool is available at no additional cost to advertisers and does not require video production expertise or specialized equipment. Accessible through Creative Studio in the Ad Console, it provides a central location for creative tools for Amazon Ads.
Willie Pang, managing director of Amazon Ads Australia and New Zealand, commented on the initiative: “Video advertising has traditionally required significant resources that are out of reach for many small businesses. For Australian small businesses, time and resources are at a premium. Every hour saved is time that can be spent growing your business and improving customer service.”

Businesses of all sizes can now create engaging video content that brings their products to life and drives real business outcomes.”
The tool has been operational in the US since last year and has seen a significant increase in the number of campaigns sent using Video Generator. Over 60% of products promoted using this tool have never been promoted in a Sponsored Brands video before.
