Guinea has taken an important step towards strengthening the adoption of artificial intelligence in the private sector with the launch of the “AI Xcelerate” program, which aims to accelerate the integration of AI into business operations and improve economic competitiveness.
The program was officially launched on April 8, 2026, through a partnership involving the Confederation of Guinet Enterprises (CGE-GUI), the International Organization of Employees (OIE), and international technology partners. It aims to support business leaders, managers, and young professionals with practical AI-driven solutions that improve productivity and decision-making.
During the event, government and private sector stakeholders and international partners came together to explore how artificial intelligence can strengthen Guinea’s economic structure and create new job opportunities. The discussion highlighted the role of AI in improving human capital and modernizing business practices.
Rose Paula Pricemou took part in the panel discussion and highlighted the importance of leveraging digital tools to enhance skills development, particularly through initiatives such as Simandou Academy and broader economic transformation efforts.
He noted that Guinea has already made progress in developing an artificial intelligence policy, becoming the first French-speaking country to adopt UNDP’s AILA approach, which informed the national AI roadmap 2026-2035. She also mentioned the DounIA1 and DounIA2 conferences that helped shape the country’s national strategy on data and artificial intelligence.
The AI Xcelerate initiative is designed to build on this momentum by bringing AI innovation into the private sector and accelerating commercialization across industries.
