Days after a video clip reportedly created by an Iranian team that uses AI to generate Lego videos to troll Donald Trump and advance the Iranian narrative on social media was banned by YouTube. The ban comes shortly after an Explosive Media video talking about Donald Trump’s alleged relationship with the Epstein Files through a rap song went viral, garnering millions of views.

Explosive Media confirmed the news of the ban, writing to X, “Our YouTube channel has been removed again due to violent content. Seriously, our Lego style animations are actually violent.”

However, Lego videos are still available on other social media platforms.

Iran has alleged that during the war, tech companies such as Google and Oracle, which own YouTube, supported the US government through their platforms. Iran has also threatened to attack the offices and data centers of these companies in the Gulf. However, the tech company has not yet responded to these allegations.

This is not the first time AI imagery has been used to set a narrative in war. Immediately after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, AI images attacked Ukrainians. Last year, the term “AI slop” was widely used to describe incomplete images posted online showing attacks on Iran’s nuclear program.
