Inflectra, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) ISV Accelerate partner, developed Rapise to bring agent AI capabilities to enterprise software test automation. Rapise uses Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Nova to automatically generate test scripts, adapt to application changes, and flag compliance issues. This solution addresses the challenges faced by traditional test automation for modern applications.
Testing is essential for delivery assurance and compliance, especially in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, and financial services. However, traditional automation frameworks are struggling to keep up with the speed of modern agent AI-enabled software pipelines and the increasing complexity of enterprise systems. Inflectra’s Rapise test automation system, with agent AI capabilities through connectivity with Inflectra.ai, helps bridge this gap using a foundational model (FM) hosted on AWS.
How Rapise uses Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Nova
Rapise is powered by Inflectra.ai, Inflectra’s new cloud-based AI service built on Amazon Bedrock that allows users to perform a variety of generative AI and agent AI-enhanced software testing tasks.
Both Rapise and Inflectra.ai use Amazon Nova Pro and Claude Opus by Anthropic from the Amazon Bedrock model family to perform several key generative AI tasks. This includes creating automated test scripts from manual test cases, generating synthetic test data, analyzing patterns in test results, and identifying potentially vulnerable or poorly developed tests.

Rapise uses Inflectra.ai to provide some more advanced agent AI capabilities, powered by Claude Sonnet by Anthropic on Amazon Bedrock and the Amazon Bedrock family of models. Testers can use these AI agents to:
- Visually and autonomously test applications based on business scenarios and manual test cases to handle key exploratory testing use cases
- Use natural language to simulate user flows and perform test actions without the need for traditional, brittle object-based test automation.
- Automatically flag usability, accessibility, and compliance issues using a visual model based on your risk profile
- Automatically refactor existing automated test scripts and adapt to application changes using visual identification. This is a process known as “self-healing” testing.
The following screenshot shows how testers can include qualitative tasks as part of automated test cases. For example, a tester can ask a test agent, “How many input fields do you see?” or “What does the page look like?”

Traditional test scripts are often fragile. Minor UI updates or API schema changes can break your test flow. But with Agent AI in Rapise, the automation suite dynamically adapts. The Rapise agent learns from previous test runs and application metadata and uses this context to self-correct and suggest alternative test paths by visually inspecting your application.

Overview of Rapise and AWS architecture
The following architecture diagram shows how Inflectra.ai integrates with Rapise, including support for customer-deployed Rapise instances. In particular, Inflectra.ai connects to customers’ Rapise API servers via a secure connection, allowing direct integration with test environments. Inflectra.ai provides support for the entire Inflectra solution, including Rapise and Spira. Currently supported models include models from the Amazon Nova and Anthropic Claude families.
