IIT Delhi launches advanced AI, ML, DL online programs

Machine Learning

The program will run from July 26, 2026 to January 22, 2027 and will be delivered online through the eVIDYA platform, making it available to learners across India.

IIT Delhi’s Continuing Education Program (CEP) has started accepting admissions for the 8th batch of its Advanced Certificate Program in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Formerly known as the Machine Learning and Deep Learning Certification Program, this course is designed for graduates and postgraduates who want to gain practical knowledge of AI, ML, and DL without prior experience.

The program will run from July 26, 2026 to January 22, 2027 and will be delivered online through the eVIDYA platform, allowing learners across India and abroad to participate from their homes. The course fee is ₹1,95,000 plus 18% GST. It offers 80 hours of live online instruction, as well as assignments, quizzes, and capstone projects. Participants can also opt for a one-day campus visit of IIT Delhi.

The curriculum covers both basic and advanced concepts. Start with Python programming, data analysis, and applied mathematics to establish a strong foundation. Participants then move on to core modules in machine learning and deep learning, including neural networks, deep learning architectures, and AI applications.

This program focuses on practical application. Learners will use tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, Visual ML Lab, and Visual DL Lab. It also includes sessions on search augmented generation (RAG) and agenttic AI to learn about current developments in this field.

The main feature of this course is the Bring Your Own Project (BYOP) capstone. Participants will use the concepts covered in the program to implement real-world AI or ML solutions. Assignments, quizzes, and case studies enhance your learning, and live sessions provide an opportunity to interact with IIT faculty and industry experts.

This program is aimed at graduate and graduate students in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, electronics, physics, AI, data science, or related fields. The evaluation will include the final MCQ exam as 50%, assignments and quizzes as 20%, capstone project as 20%, and attendance as 10%.

  • Start date: July 26, 2026
  • End date: January 22, 2027
  • Class schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (IST)
  • Program mode: eVIDYA (online)
  • Optional campus visit: 1 day at IIT Delhi

The program will enable participants to apply AI, machine learning, and deep learning concepts across areas such as computer vision, natural language processing, data analytics, and AI-driven systems. Interested candidates can apply online for this comprehensive study program.
