Creator @trombonechef initially called it a “sad fruit story” and then posted a multi-part video that continues the story and unravels the aftermath of the incident. Many people compare the theme to love island storyline while other accounts have copied it completely.
Surprisingly or not, given the internet’s love for AI, the series was a huge hit, with the strawberry and eggplant baby drama video reaching over 26 million views. Another account called Ai Cinema is averaging 15 million views per video in less than 10 days.
Meanwhile, many copycat accounts have emerged that create AI fruit content, some calling themselves “Fruit.” love island“(Peacock, maybe you should call a lawyer).”

Content creators are cashing in on the trend, sharing clips that highlight the absurdity of the fruit scandal. Even though the fruit in the video and cartoon was generated by AI, commenters still relate to the tragic love story. The videos are all over TikTok, and many who watch them wonder why this content is so appealing.
For example, @therealdrmiami used the following audio: love island He prints his favorite AI fruits on paper and evaluates them in this March 17, 2026 clip. “AI rate fruit favorites” love island” was written.
TikTok creator Upson was curious about his infatuation with weird cheat fruit AI content and asked, “Why do I always watch full videos 💀😭?” In the March 18 video, Aspong wears a banana onesie while holding a bundled up baby and says, “What is this?
