The Indian Army showcased a wide range of indigenous artificial intelligence (AI) solutions at the India AI Summit, highlighting its transformation into a data-centric, AI-enabled force in line with India’s vision of technological independence and secure digital capabilities.

At the summit, the Army unveiled multiple AI platforms designed with powerful dual-use potential, benefiting both defense operations and civilian applications. These systems reflect a decisive shift toward operational efficiency, governance support, and the integration of advanced technologies to strengthen national resilience.
Among the key solutions on display were AI Examiner, an automated assessment and feedback system for education and training, and SAM-UN, a geospatial AI-enabled situational awareness platform that supports mission planning, disaster response, and smart command centers. The Army also highlighted EKAM (AI-as-a-Service), its own secure, air-gapped AI cloud that ensures data sovereignty and protected processing.
Other notable innovations include PRAKSHEPAN, an AI-driven climatology and disaster prediction system that provides early warning of floods, landslides, and avalanches. XFace, an AI-based facial recognition tool for security and identity verification. Nabh Drishti is a mobile telemetry based real-time reporting and visualization platform. Solutions such as driver fatigue detection, AI-in-a-Box for edge deployments, AI-enabled vehicle tracking systems, deepfake detection and AI cybersecurity tools further demonstrated the Army’s focus on safety, logistics optimization, and protecting critical digital infrastructure.
Taken together, these efforts highlight the Indian Army’s commitment to building a secure, networked, and AI-powered ecosystem that enhances defense preparedness while contributing to disaster management, cybersecurity, and broader national development goals.
