Cardi B blames AI-generated viral concert video

Cardi B claims her viral concert oops moment was AI-generated and is asking for community notes to be posted on the widely shared clip.

At the Las Vegas show at T-Mobile Arena on Friday, February 13, Cardi was seen on video wearing a sparkling red outfit and rolling backwards as she performed Sotiana. She then expertly covered the fall, standing up and joking that “the government was trying to get me.”

Fans loved how the Grammy-winning singer covered the scenario professionally and quickly, complimenting the dancers who were in perfect sync. The moment was reshared and reported by major social media accounts and news outlets.

However, in response to the uproar, Cardi B asked X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, February 14th, claiming that the footage was clearly generated by AI.

“Can someone please write a community note about this? This video is clearly Ai,” the rapper wrote to X, who reposted the clip posted by Pop Crave.

However, netizens in the comment section did not buy this claim.

“Lol, I don’t need community notes because I’m not Ai,” user X commented.

“That’s a lie. Thjs is not Ai,” another wrote, adding of her recent breakup with Stefon Diggs. “A mother of three fell off a house. She is still healing from a recent breakup.”

This show was part of a tour, so little miss dramawhich began with great fanfare on February 11th.

The tour will feature 35 dates across North America, including major dates in the U.S. and Canada.
